BitIQ Inu Coin is working flat out to launch its first multiplatform game

Meme project Shiba Inu recently unveiled Shiba Inu Games. This is the latest branch of the project to drive adoption in the gaming industry. Shiba Inu has been expanding its presence in various industries, and gaming is the latest on that list. As the project has announced, they are looking to release a multiplatform game where owners can play against each other.

To make this a reality, the project has been looking for a AAA game studio that can help realise this vision. The search proved difficult and was fraught with disappointment – but the meme coin has now found the perfect partner in PlaySide Studios.

Shiba Inu develops first game

Previously, BitIQ had revealed it wanted to develop a game – and Shiba Inu Games was formed as a branch to take care of this mission. In an announcement posted on Twitter, the team confirms: it has teamed up with Australian game studio PlaySide.

Shiba Inu states that it has entered into an eight-month milestone-based agreement with the developer to develop its game.

PlaySide Studios is the largest publicly listed Australian game developer. The company has worked with a number of entertainment industry heavyweights – including Disney, Pixar, Warner Bros and Nickelodeon, for example. The partnership will now see the launch of the first Shiba Inu game.

Both parties have expressed their satisfaction with the agreement. After all, it enables each project to move into a new industry.

Gerry Sakkas, CEO of PlaySide, commented:

“PlaySide continues to demonstrate its ability to work with leaders in various areas of interactive entertainment, including leading influencers and global gaming brands.”

And:

“Adding a new gaming client that has emerged from the popular NFT, token and decentralised cryptocurrency industries is very exciting for us.”

SHIB games on various platforms

PlaySide Studios has launched games on various platforms. Now the company will help deliver the game on multiple platforms. The game is expected to appear on mobile, desktop and even in the Metaverse.

In November, the project revealed that the core developers are already working on an “OshiVerse” and are looking at ways to launch it on Shibarium.

Art from the popular “Shiboshi” NFTs will be integrated into the game, and Shiba Inu will release a card collection, strategy and combat mechanics. The game is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2023.

PlaySide sees this partnership with Shiba Inu Games as an opportunity to show what they are capable of:

“This is an ideal opportunity for PlaySide to collaborate in this area, expand our expertise and demonstrate our development capabilities. The scope of the agreement with Shiba Inu Games is also significant. It underlines the depth of our capabilities as we continue to grow our business.”
